Is Obama going from the Change you can Believe in to no change (pennies nickles) at all?

As Obama makes the dollar go down in value commodities rise against it. Right now a penny is worth almost 2 cents in metal and a nickle about 6.7 cents. How long before it is either illegal to have change or the Treasury starts melting it and there is none left? Will that make Obama go from the "change you can believe in" to being remembered as "no change left at all?"
