Hmm...I'm not sure what i should do....i need help...please?

well...here's the scoop...i REALLY like this guy that i met on my birthday and hes amazing hes sweet to me...he is awesome..we were talking nonstop for two weeks then we finally went on a date...we went to the fair..then to his bball game..then back to the fair..but on our way back to the fair..we were all talking..and his parents COMPLETELY misunderstood what i said..and now they really aren't that fond of me..so we can't date..and it really sucks...because i think hes the first guy i said "i love you" to and actually meant it...but he's been in a predicament like this before..and his parents didn't look past it and he claims they both found better ppl but i don't want to...i want him...so he's been trying to tell me...that i should try and move on...so i met a guy...and im liking the person i know so far but we haven't hung out a great deal...and well idk how long to wait to get to know him...before we date..cause he said its defintely a possiblity lol...i don't want to get over the first guy but it looks like thats what i have to do...sooo...umm...advice on either of those..theres kinda two..wow i typed alot lol sorry about that
