Wheres my fuel filter located?

i have a 2001 Mitsubishi Diamante LS and i think my fuel filter is clogged because it will crank, then die like a second later. . my dad said its because i was on E for so long, so i put $45 in it and now it barely wants to stay running, all i need to know is WHERE the filter is located or can someone point me in the direction of a diagram online about my fuel line. .
