Will neutering my male miniature schnauzer affect hunting ability or watchdog behavior?

ok first off let me explain my situation before every body just says go get him neutered right now its the only humane thing to do i have a 4 month old Miniature schnauzer pure breed from a dependable breeder i want him to be neutered for health reasons not to mention marking how ever i decided on this particular breed for reasons most people don't these days because there good family pets because i like the fact that they are good watch dogs and are very protective of there family's and because they are vermin hunters i have children and i live on a farm so my pup serves 2 purposes he is a family pet for sure but also hes got a job now im never gonna breed him so neutering is fine with me however im just wondering will it change his hunting nature and his protectiveness and when is the right time to neuter him hes already protective but i don't think hes learned how to hunt yet should i wait until he is a certain age or just bite the bullet and get him fixed please experienced answers only thanks god bless
